Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is £51,099 - £58,197

The Role:

Southwark are seeking a full time Corporate Anti-Fraud Team Manager to direct the overall delivery of the Council’s anti-fraud strategy and investigation of fraud, bribery and corruption.

This will include working with departments to develop and improve internal control, fraud prevention and detection measures within the Council to ensure that legislative requirements, corporate objectives and best value are successfully achieved.

About You

We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual with experience in managing fraud prevention, detection, and investigation in local government.

You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals across a broad spectrum of activity. Providing expertise and knowledge to stakeholders. Contributing to policy and strategy.

The person filling this role will be required to provide advice and guidance regarding fraud and corruption, undertake reactive and proactive anti-fraud exercises, data-analytics, deliver training and awareness.

You will be required to manage and control a budget to deliver service priorities.

Additional Information:

- This is a permanent full-time position

- Hours of work: standard 36 hours Monday – Friday – The post holder may be required to work hours as determined by service delivery requirements

- Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience or vocational qualification i.e. Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist qualification; the Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice; or the CIPFA Certificate of Investigative Practice, the DWP Local Authority Fraud Manager PinS Foundation qualification, a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Investigative Practice.
