The Coroner Resource Officer is responsible for providing excellent administrative support to meet the requirements of the Inner South London Coroners Court.
It is a challenging and varied role, and is best suited to someone who is a good team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
You will be responsible for the telephone service including front facing service of the court, and provide a consistent and professional high level of customer service at all times.
The role will also include the following:
- Court Usher and Jury Bailiff for the efficient day to day operation of the court room, and supporting the coroner
- Case management for investigation/inquests
- Court diary management
- Archiving of case files and court records
- Processing information requests & press enquiries
- Processing burial/cremation forms
- Processing financial orders & invoices;
- Interrogating IT systems to update and retrieve information
- Maintaining & updating the court’s website and facilities management.
This is a very interesting and rewarding role.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a front facing service with excellent customer service skills.
You must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written, and know how to be an empathetic listener, as the role interacts with bereaved persons.
You must have good organisational skills, and be able to work on your own initiative. You must also be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
As a Coroner Resource Officer, you will be working in a very busy, highly motivated team, you will be expected to demonstrate the abilities to be a flexible team player and form effective working relationships, which is essential.
