The role

About Southwark:

Southwark is a large, ambitious and progressive council with a ‘can do’ attitude and enviable reputation. As a council, we are successful, passionate and forward-thinking. We are committed to our ‘Fairer Futures for All’ promise which ensures that our residents and businesses are central to everything we do.

The Role:

In this role you will be working within Southwark Council’s newly formed Southwark Construction team. Formed in April 2022, the team brought together several home building teams from several different parts of the council.

You will work within a team of project managers, who are responsible for the successful delivery of all of our new homes and rebuilding projects, supporting them to ensure the best outcome for our residents.

You will undertake a Quantity Surveying Technician level 4 apprenticeship. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Assistant Quantity Surveyor where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior position and/or complete a degree-level qualification.

You will be eligible for the Supervisor (Gold) CSCS Card after completion of your apprenticeship.
