The role includes assisting in the preparation of condition reports on the condition of Building Services installations and construction issues.
Ensuring that the quality of services meets Southwark’s requirements and contributing towards continuous contractor performance improvement (across a range of contractors), escalating consistent contractor failures for management resolution as necessary.
The electrical compliance officer will be required to respond to and resolve customer problems in the day to day operation of the contracts, including preparation of reports and agreement of action plans with contractors and consultants.
To undertake intermediate, pre and post inspections of electrical works to assess specific work quality and progress, recommending appropriate remedial action to ensure the service provided meets the required contract standard.
The post is for an experienced electrical engineer with a sound knowledge of electrical installations and experience of carrying out site visits, surveys and inspections, resident consultation and management / supervision of electrical contractors.
The Electrical compliance office shall have the ability to work on their own or as part of a team.
The post will require attendance at residents meetings (where requested) and for liaison with the various Statutory Authorities.
