The Role:
The Complex Case team is a floating support services set within Southwark Council's Resident Services department. The team offers support for our most vulnerable residents who benefit from a multi-agency approach designed to support and empower them to live safely in their tenancies. A successful candidate for this role would manage a caseload of residents referred to us from our Resident Service Officers, Adult Social Care and other internal and external agencies. Each client in our service would have a support plan tailor made to suit their individual needs, and it is our role to bring in all of the agencies needed in order to resolve the period of crisis for which they were referred to us for. Being embedded within the housing department means that we are able to focus on their housing needs smartly and efficiently.
About You
Any successful candidate would need to be dedicated to Southwark’s Fairer Future principles when working within the Complex Case client group. With an excellent knowledge of tenancy management and the support services internal and external to the Council. A none judgemental, problem solving approach to working with our service users will be the key attribute being sought out for this role. As well as an ability to manage a challenging and diverse caseload.
A successful applicant to this post must demonstrate the ability to be able to advocate for both the Council and the resident and produce positive outcomes for both parties.
