The Role:
Are you a great written and visual communicator? Do you have experience of setting up and managing effective processes for sharing information? Do you want to play a key role in joining up the strategic and operational messaging to Southwark’s schools, nurseries and colleges?
Communications & Project Officer (Digital and Communications) is responsible for internal and public-facing communications across all digital touchpoints. This is a varied role for a multi-skilled team player to communicate key message and strategy across web, apps, email, and social media. You will be involved in the briefing, execution, sign off and publishing processes for marketing communications content, as well as performing production tasks. You’ll be willing to get stuck in and work across multiple projects and channels – your passion for the school improvement and making a different to pupils in education consistently shining through.

About You:
You must have:
- Exceptional communication skills, with a real understanding of how different audiences receive and process messages and the best way to ensure they understand what we are trying to say
- Great people skills, to be able to get the information you need, in the way that you need it, at the right time, from a wide range of busy people who might not have you at the top of their priority list
- Excellent organisational skills: to manage a busy, ever- changing list of tasks
- A love of deadlines: meeting them and setting them
- A passion for working on challenging, meaningful, high-profile projects
