Our Adult Social Care Division’s Personal Budgets and Client Finance (PB&CF) Unit is seeking a passionate and dedicated Client Finance Caseworker to join our amazing team and help make a difference today.

About the Role:

Step into a role where your financial skills directly support adults with care needs. As a Client Finance Caseworker, you will:

  • Carry out financial assessments and determine client contributions towards their care.
  • Manage casework relating to client finances and ensure compliance with policy and legislation.
  • Support debt recovery processes and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Adult Social Care and other services to deliver efficient, person-centred outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, helping shape high-quality services for Southwark residents.

With an Adult Social Care budget exceeding £120 million, your role will play a key part in delivering innovative and sustainable services that empower residents to live healthier, safer, and more independent lives.

About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment. You’ll succeed in this role if you have:

  • A relevant degree or professional qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of adult social care financial processes, including financial assessment and debt recovery.
  • Experience in a large or complex organisation, ideally within local government.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – to engage a wide range of audiences.
  • Competence with IT systems for data management and performance reporting.
  • The ability to prioritise, manage workloads effectively, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
