The Role:

Adult social care in Southwark is seeking 2 enthusiastic individuals to support the collection of client’s financial contributions and the maximisation of income.  One of the roles is in the Charging Team, where you will be responsible for completing financial assessments, which are used to determine how much a service user should be asked to pay towards their social care services.  The other role is in the Income and Collections Team, where you will support a refreshed and proactive approach, modelling best practice across income and debt recovery.

As part of these roles you will need to apply and understand policies, practices, legislation and codes of practice that govern how the work area operates and the need to comply with standards of behaviour outlined in relevant legislation and guidance.

Located in the Personal Budgets and Client Finance service, which delivers a range of back office functions; the successful candidates will take a supporting role in the functions as set out in the council’s Fairer Contributions Policy and the Care Act 2014.

 

Additional Information:

Both roles are permanent and are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  We offer hybrid ways of working, where you may apply to work part of the week from home, with a minimum of two working days in the office.
