The role:
Our Adult Social Care division is seeking two enthusiastic individuals to cover two client finance case worker roles in the Charging Team and Debt Team in our Personal Budgets and Client Finance Service. The Charging Team leads on the Council’s financial assessment service for adult social care and generates income for the Council. The Debt Team oversee the collection of our resident's individually assessed contribution towards the social care services they receive. You will support a refreshed and proactive approach to financial assessments and income collection modelling best practice.
You will also learn to apply and understand policies, practices, legislation and codes of practice that govern how the work area operates and the need to comply with standards of behaviour outlined in relevant legislation and guidance. The successful candidates will take a supporting role in means testing as per our Fairer Contributions Policy and the Care Act 2014, as well as promoting welfare benefit uptake which aims to ensure our clients claim the benefits they are entitled to.
About you:
If you are someone with drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude, who thrives on working in a busy and challenging environment we would love to hear from you. You should possess excellent administrative and numeracy skills and work efficiently to ensure accuracy and attention to detail and have a good knowledge of legislation, policy and financial context of Adult Social Care. For this role you must be able to communicate confidently and effectively when dealing with the public and other key stakeholders.
