The Role:

 

We are looking for enthusiastic and detail oriented team players to undertake cleaning duties on the Council’s estates and highways. This is an excellent opportunity to develop both your existing and new skills as you will attend training sessions to be able to work on new equipment, methods, and procedures.

 

About you:

 

You’ll come to us with experience of working in a cleaning, grounds maintenance, waste management, or related work environment, so you’ll have the skills to undertake all aspects of estate and street cleaning.

 

You'll be confident working without close and frequent supervision and you will be able to complete safety checks on all tools, materials, and equipment.

 

Full uniform and required PPE provided.

 

This role is offered on a permanent basis, working 36 hours per week (full time). You must be available to work between Monday and Saturday.

 

Working Pattern:

- 36 hours per week between Monday – Saturday.

- 6 hours per day

- Regular Sunday work also available on a voluntary basis, on an overtime rate.

 

Please note this role is internally only: as such, we can only consider applications from 'internal candidates', that are current Southwark employees or agency workers on an active assignment who have worked for 12 weeks or more at the council.
