Are you ready to lead with purpose and drive impactful change? Southwark Council is seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Unit Manager to collaborate closely with the Director of the Environment, Head of Regulatory Services, and other key stakeholders in shaping the future of our community.

About the Role: Shape the Future
As a Business Unit Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery and long-term planning of key council and Division priorities. You'll oversee a specific business unit area, Neighbourhood Nuisance Unit, which delivers the Council's statutory functions for Noise and Nuisance, Licensing and Enviro-Crime Enforcement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and priorities.
  • As a subject matter expert deputise for the Head of Service, providing guidance and support on all Division-related matters.
  • Utilise your professional expertise to present to Senior Management Team (SMT), member briefings, and Council meetings.
  • Be an active member of the Regulatory Services Divisional Management Team (RSMT) and extended Environment Directorate Senior Management Team.

Additional salary details

This role attract JNC benefit to the value of £2724 per annum, pro rata to start date.  This is a cash payment!
