The role

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Southwark's Community Safety Team. The team brings together a range of professionals focusing on people and places as part of a new Stronger Neighbourhoods Directorate.
This fast-paced environment puts our residents at the forefront, creating a safe place through working closely with partner agencies and cross council, tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, providing reassurance, hate crime and fostering trust and confidence.


This role will lead our approach to tackling violence against women and girls, including domestic abuse, women's safety, hate crime and trust and confidence.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced manager with a strong commissioning background and excellent partnership skills developed in a community safety or related setting.

To succeed in this role you'll be comfortable working with senior leaders in a large politically-led organisation. You'll be a first-class communicator able to build credible relationships across organisations. And you'll be committed to delivering the very best outcomes for our residents.
