The role
You will be part of a project management team. You will advise managers on the most appropriate methodology for their project and work closely with senior managers, asking the right questions to inform and shape project delivery. For each project that you are involved in, you will make sure that support for staff in a moving to new ways of working, culture and behaviour change and adopting a digital approach is a key project consideration, working closely with IT to provide a seamless service.
You will immerse yourself in the project and spend time co-located with the service order to understand the detail and the impact of the project. In practical terms, you will provide process mapping, analysis, awareness of cross-organisational interdependencies and insight into external models and on developments in the world of work.
You will be a collaborative team player, keen to play your part to shape the future of Southwark Council’s services. You will have a sound grounding in project management, keep stakeholder engagement at the heart of your approach and be able to navigate your way through project challenges to deliver the best outcomes for your projects.
