The Role:

The Business Support Team delivers a wide range of administration and financial support to various teams within the Older People and Physical Disabilities Service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated person with proven administrative experience to join our team of Business Support Officers.

Duties include answering telephone and email enquiries, database recording, organising and minuting meetings, room bookings, maintaining spreadsheets, archiving of documents, financial tasks and providing administrative support to teams of Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.


About You:

The successful applicant must have

- The ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone and in writing and to manage an evolving workload using your time-management skills.

- Excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

- Ability to work with tight timeframes within a pressurised environment. To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

- Experience in business administration support and client data bases such as Mosaic, Framework-i and Carefirst.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with a wide range of employees within the directorate, across the council, and external agencies
