The role
We are looking for a Business Support Manager to join our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub to lead a team of committed and dedicated MASH Information Officers. We are a Good Local Authority aspiring to Outstanding. We are looking for an excellent Business Manager to support us on this journey.
You’ll play an integral part of our “One Front Door” services for children and families in Southwark. Key tasks will include managing the gathering and sharing of information, processing new referrals into services, being mindful of strict deadlines and most importantly the need to safeguard and promote the well-being of children and families.
About You:
Ideally you will bring knowledge of the statutory responsibilities and duties of a local authority Children’s Service and understanding of services in place to safeguard children and young people.
In addition you must have the experience to enable you make appropriate decisions about referrals and the skills needed to listen, gather and record essential information accurately as well as identify when children are in need of urgent protection.
Your excellent IT skills will be in demand as well as strong interpersonal skills, reliability, stamina and highly developed organisational skills.
The Southwark Council, its staff and partners, have continued to achieve a Good Ofsted rating for the last 10 years following various inspection visits. We continue to invest in our staff and managers by offering extensive in house training opportunities.
