The role:
To assist the Task and Finishing Team (TFT) in auditing high-risk major works projects on the London Borough of Southwark's (LBS) social housing estates, providing a specialist, comprehensive professional surveying and technical service.
To provide professional building surveying expertise and advice on processes and procedures relating to the procurement and management of major works improvement projects for social housing schemes, including identifying any weaknesses or areas for improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will require:
To act as an expert in building surveying with in-depth knowledge of construction and practices, and advise the TFT.
Conduct a thorough review of feasibility studies and design criteria to ensure the accuracy, robustness, and suitability of future major works projects.
To ensure successful completion of major work projects, including budget management, work scheduling, and contractor supervision.
To offer expert advice on building, technical repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment of homes in LBS’ social housing estates.
To provide technical advice and recommendations to TFT, conduct structural surveys, post-inspections, and assessment of completed work.
Collaborating with LBS staff, internal stakeholders, business units, external agencies, and contractors to support the audit of "high-risk" projects.
