The Role:
Building Surveying Services Manager Grade 12
The Technical team within the Corporate Facilities Management (CFM) division has responsibility for the development and delivery of the corporate CFM capital investment programme along with delivery of significant departmental capital projects. Working collaboratively, the team is responsible for the collation, management and interpretation of asset/condition data for the operational estate, which is an integral element of the ‘intelligent client’ function. They take the corporate lead on technical matters for the operational estate; this includes auditing and monitoring of the supply chains service delivery in respect of repairs and maintenance, projects and H&S and compliance.
The Building Surveying arm forms part of the Technical team and as the Building Surveying Services Manager you are responsible for the delivering capital projects, planned preventative maintenance, reactive service requests for CFM’s contractors and for ongoing professional advice. Project and programme management is essential to ensure that projects for the division are delivered on time, within budget and with quality standards.
You will form part of a small team to ensure that services and projects are delivered in accordance with legislative and council requirements.
About You:
We are looking for someone with good communication skills supported by experience delivering Building Surveying projects and maintenance services. You will be educated to Diploma level and have an appropriate professional qualification – RICS, CIOB or equivalent and ideally a Project Management qualification. You will have experience of contracts management, managing competitive tendering exercises and comfortable with producing reports with the ability to analyse, use and present complex data and reports in a clear, concise and informative way. We want you to be able to quickly build relationships, work across a variety of functions and get involved in all aspects of the role, bringing enthusiasm, drive, commitment and a can do attitude.
