The Role:

-The role of the assistant Project Support Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support work within the Empty homes service that ensure high quality and value for money that meet the Council’s regeneration and housing objectives and wider Council and divisional priorities to bring empty properties back into use.

- The role will support the Project officer in developing and managing empty property projects through to completion by assisting with consultations and liaison with empty property stakeholders, other departments and organisations, staff, and external stakeholders in delivering cost effective, sustainable, and compliant empty homes projects to bringing them back into use.  

 

About you

To thrive in the post, you will have knowledge of Empty homes and how the council is tackling the issue in an inner-city environment.  You will have experience of working in the public or private sector in a housing or property field. 

You should be solution focused, ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, work effectively as part of a team and be customer focused. 

You will have a wide range of communication skills to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders to promote the take up of the Empty homes funding.

You should be competent in using a range of IT systems to log all grants and loans and in monitoring budgets.  You should be able to effectively undertake a range of admin tasks including diarising appointments, scanning and indexing of documents and collate data to monitor KPI’s.  

As a team player, you’ll demonstrate willingness and adaptability to a range of key activities supporting the wider objectives and targets of the division.
