The role
We will only consider applications from internal candidates that are current employees or agency workers on an active assignment.
We are looking for energetic individuals to work as part of a team of arborists to ensure the work is carried out as per the contract specification and monthly work schedules in the Borough and other contracted areas as required. You will assist with all tree work operations as identified in the current British Standard and best practice including but not restricted to tree and root pruning, crown reducing, lifting, thinning, felling, root and basal growth removal, stump grinding, application of stump poisons etc.
What do you need for the role:-
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in arboriculture
• Appropriate chain saw certificates
• Basic knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work act and relevant safe working practice
• Experience of working in a tree care work or grounds maintenance environment
• Ability to carry out a wide range of tree care duties using appropriate tools, materials, plant and equipment
