The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join Southwark's centralised daytime AMHP service. You will be part of a supportive, dynamic team based within Adult Mental Health Social Care, and work on a rota with colleague.
You will be working as a full-time AMHP and will be involved in carrying out assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983, (amended 2007) in a variety of different settings including psychiatric wards, A&E departments, police stations, the local Place of Safety and in the community.
We offer clear professional leadership and supervision and you will have access to a wider range of continuous development and training opportunities. You will be supported to contribute to the professional development of staff and students. You will be part of a small , dedicated AMHP team working on a rota that is supplemented by other AMHPs within the department.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced, practising AMHP who is familiar with carrying out assessments in a wide range of settings. We need someone who is flexible, resilience and has an enthusiasm and passion for AMHP work.

Additional details
AMHPs receive an additional annual payment of £2,500 per annum.
A Social Work qualification, AMHP qualification and Social Work England registration is required for this role.
