The role:

Following a successful trial period, we are looking to establishing the Advocate role permanently within the safeguarding team. This will enable us to cover more of our advocacy in house. As this is a new role, you will be an opportunity to shape and influence how it grows and develops. The role can be carried out either full time or part time, what matters is that you are able to willing to commit to doing your best to make this work. The role requires you to have considerable experience of working in the Family Court and be a confident and persuasive advocate.  

About you:

You will have extensive experience of undertaking advocacy in the Family Court and be able to hit the ground running. It is a given that you will have excellent communication skills. You will also need to be innovative, resourceful and enjoy working with a high degree of autonomy. You will need to have the necessary legal qualification. Great interpersonal skills and being able to command the confidence of clients in all aspects of your written work and presentation in court are vital. From time to time you will also be required to provide training to clients in developing their courtroom skills. You will also be required to feedback to colleagues on casework and how we can continue to improve the presentation of our cases in court.

Additional details

This post attracts an additional financial benefits package of £2,327 pro-rata, per annum (April - March) and 7.5% market supplement.
