The Duty Team Manager Role

We have vacancies across the older persons & physical disability service and require experienced social workers who have leadership and supervisory oversight. This may include social workers, occupational therapists and any other clinical or non-professionally qualified colleagues. The post holder will do this through the provision of management, professional expertise, skills and advice to ensure we deliver high quality services.

You will act as a role model and expert practitioner within your team. You will build on the team’s ethos of reflective practice, learning and development.

We offer a variety of Social Work opportunities catering to different service user groups and settings and work closely with the Team Manager to deliver a safe, strength based service, promoting and improving independence, ensuring comprehensive person-centred assessments, reviews and interventions, supporting court work (where required) and ensuring residents are safeguarded, enabling choice and control regarding their accommodation, care and support needs.

You will have

• Expert knowledge of key legislation, Social Work theories and guidance with
demonstrable ability to apply this to practice.
• Ability to supervise and/ or manage a cohort of social care practitioners. This
may include workers from different professional backgrounds, Newly Qualified
Social workers and student placements.
• Experience of working with people with disabilities and/ or mental illness.
• High quality written and verbal skills, with an ability to collate and analyse complex
information, and produce clear, good quality data.
• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and with multiple agencies to
facilities holistic assessments and working collaboratively to support people to
achieve their goals and maximise independence.

Additional salary details

Applicants will have a recognised Social Worker qualification (SWE), enhanced DBS and will need the to be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
