Salary range:

The salary range for this position is:£51,099 - £58,197

 

The Role:

Applications are invited for the role of Accounts Receivable Manager, the role will manage a team of 6 credit controllers with responsibility for income allocation and debt recovery. This position is offered on a secondment basis for 6 months. The role is based in the Transactional Finance Service and as one 3 managers across you will join a management team committed to collaborative working. Transactional Finance provides a centralised accounts payable, receivable, income allocation and collection service as well as corporate banking, ERP user support, control and helpdesk functions.

You will be committed to ensuring high standards of service are consistently met, working collaboratively with staff and customers to ensure income is collected and debt recovery processes are effective.

About You:

As an Accounts Receivable Manager you will:

- To lead on the delivery of the credit control, debt monitoring and customer income allocation function across Southwark Council.

- Manage a central point of contact for customer and debt queries.

- Provide professional advice on debt recovery for the Council, across all debt types

- Work with Council departments to ensure agreed processes and procedures are followed in the creation of customer accounts and the raising of invoices.

- Lead of income and debt policy development.

We welcome applications from people who have a strong background in finance, excellent leaderships skills and who are able to empower staff. You will need to be able to analyse complex financial data and be skilful in presenting and reporting information to senior managers.

Additional salary details

This is a 6 months fixed term contract and we will only consider applications from internal candidates, that are current employees or agency workers on an active assignment.
