The Council will be marking this occasion with a week-long series of virtual events, seminars and interactive discussion forums that will focus on race, intersectionality and several common issues including:

* Providing an overview of what the Council has done over the last 12 months to address inequalities amongst the workforce as outlined in the Annual Workforce report
* The Business Disability Forum will discuss how their advice service can support our line managers
* Our black senior managers will discuss their career journey and challenges and take questions from participants
* Mental health webinars facilitated by Optima on topics, such as, parenting and remote working and reducing anxiety
* Staff support sessions for staff that have experienced racism
* Southwark Stands Together – Solutions focussed conversations to address racism

The overall aim is to provide real experiences and valuable as well as practical information that will make a positive impact on our staff.
