Building insurance and gas servicing officer (Home Ownership Services)
Do you have the drive and inter personal skills to be the first point of contact for home owners making building insurance claims or enquiring about servicing their gas appliances?
We are recruiting a building insurance and gas servicing officer to work in Home Ownership Services based at Tooley Street, London SE1. As part of Exchequer Services the successful candidate will provide a high quality, customer focused service to our leaseholders placing a strong emphasis on value for money.
This is a customer focused role which requires a wide range of skills including but not limited to: strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of audiences; excellent I.T. skills; ability to work as part of a team.
You will also require knowledge of key legislation relating to service charges.
You will work closely with the other teams within Home Ownership Services and also internally across the Council including housing and modernisation’s asset management and resident services team.
The key elements of the role are as follows:
• To provide information to home owners about policy cover and the claims process
• To ensure the council makes claims for damages where policy cover allows
• To report on claims performance and operational issues
• To keep web content up-to-date
