Do you have experience managing an Adult Social Care team?
Would you like to apply your unique skill set to an exciting Front Door team?
If yes, we want to hear from you!
Our Contact Team is seeking a hardworking and dedicated Team Manager to join our supportive and welcoming management team. This is your chance to make a real difference in the lives of Southwark residents.
What is the Contact Team?
The Contact Team is part of Southwark’s Older Persons and Physical Disabilities (OPPD) Service. We serve as the Front Door to Adult Social Care and are the first point of contact for those seeking our services. We work closely with our Voluntary Community Sector (VCS) partners and other agencies to provide a universal support offer, with a strong focus on prevention.
Using a strengths-based approach, we connect residents to their communities to promote health, well-being, and independence. Our focus is on adults with physical disabilities, sensory needs, dementia, and those over the age of 65. We are a friendly and supportive team made up of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Customer Support Officers.
About You:
We need your leadership to shape the team and help implement exciting developments, such as the launch of our Online Professional Referral system and other service improvements. We are constantly evolving, embracing new ways of working and incorporating new technologies.
To be considered for an interview, your CV and supporting statement must clearly demonstrate the following:
- You are a registered SWE Social Worker or HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- You have experience managing teams within a Health and/or Social Care setting.
- You have a genuine passion for leading a busy team, making impactful changes, and supporting staff through periods of change.
- You have the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining a calm and composed approach. You will always have support from your fellow Team Managers and Service Managers in OPPD.
- You have a solid understanding of Safeguarding procedures and practices and are SAM trained.
In Southwark, we place the resident at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an experienced leader who can demonstrate excellent leadership skills and manage a busy, fast-paced team in a high-performing inner London borough. We understand the pressures of the role and are committed to providing the right support, guidance, leadership, and training to help you become the best you can be.
